Fundraising Effort Benefits The Right Side Foundation & the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation
Baltimore, MD – The Right Side Foundation, the nonprofit organization of Orioles’ outfielder Nick Markakis and his wife, Christina, has created a fundraising effort featuring the sale of The Right Side Foundation/Markakis Under Armour Tech T.
The limited edition shirts go on sale today, Monday, April 5 and retail for $24.99 apiece. They are available exclusively in the store at Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards (located adjacent to the main gate of Oriole Park at Camden Yards) and online at www.RightSideFoundation.org. All sales benefit both The Right Side Foundation & the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation.
The front of the shirt features The Right Side Foundation logo centered on the chest under the Under Armour logo, while the back has “Markakis” across the shoulders and the number “21” in black letters with white trim. Underneath the number in white is the Foundation’s website, “RightSideFoundation.org.”
The launch date commemorates with the opening week of the 2010 Major League Baseball season and is in preparation of the Orioles’ home opener at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Friday, April 9 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Nick & Christina Markakis launched The Right Side Foundation in May 2009 with the mission to help improve the lives of distressed children throughout Maryland. The Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to perpetuating the historic legacy of Babe Ruth, the Baltimore Orioles and the storied Maryland sports heritage by preserving, exhibiting and interpreting their legacies through educational offerings to diverse audiences.
